Description
Shaliara, my character, and Dreiden got married last year after he propposed to her. It was kind of a "secret wedding" because, well, saying "Hi! I am a priestess (ya know, the kind that not get married) and he is an assassin and we want to get married" was not a vey intelligent option. So we made out a story in which he was a noble's son whose father forbade to get married with a peasant, that is, me We married ina forest at dusk. It was nice. Laila (~Bayra's character) was my bridesmaid (nice *dress* ... and you got the bouquet )
So, I had to make a pic for that ocassion. Originally it was made with my old monitor, so I had to get the Contrast/Brightness tool and restablish it to what it was originally , that is, darker.
I am not very very satisfied with his face. It's one of the few things that it could have me getting back to the pic an re-draw that part. I don't usually do that, but dunno... But I'm satisfied with the details. I wanted to make a lot of details on this one. Dresses and the such and for once I did it with time and not just rushing!
I like how her hair and the patterns on his outfit turned out Some things are missing tho, I noticed just now of some areas where I didn't draw "residual light" (kind of a color-reflected-light on a surface from another surface)
Thanks =roaming-dragon for checking and correcting anatomy when I was sketching it! By the way, sketch is on this [link] on Scraps section!
Firts time I used a photograph for reference when drawing background. Didn't do how to make a forest from zero, so got several forest photographs from this stock: ([link]) and picked one. It had a road but I erased it. Took the tones also This time I copied the photograph instead of trying to merge it with the charas by applying tons of filters I don't know how to really use... -_-
I drew background on Photoshop. Not usually draw things there (usually it's OpenCanvas) but this time I thought that all the brushes options it had were nice to experiment with (and there are TONS of options! ). Can't remember where the brushes are from, tho. Downloaded them almost 6 years ago...
BTW tittle is from a "Legend of the Five Rings" card...
Resources:
- Photoshop brushes: don't really know where are they from but you can note me and I'll send it to you.
- Background photograph reference from [link]
- Celtic patterns: just enter "celtic patterns" on Google Images...
